T.U.R.K.: Rap game Sugar Ray Leonard

Posted By Circus Recipe

Alright, first things first. I would like to apologize because this write-up has taken extremely long to materialize. I could wax lyrical about how busy I am and all that but I will spare you. What’s important is that I have finally managed to put the proverbial pen to paper and get on with it so let’s go!

Sugar Ray Leonard is an American former professional boxer. He is arguably one of the greatest boxers of all time and certainly the greatest or at least the most decorated welterweight boxers of all time. Known for his insatiable vigor to learn and perfect the craft of boxing, he started out as a very physical boxer but soon evolved to a more crafty and deft style as he grew in confidence and made a name for himself.…

NEW MUSIC: @Jovislash FEAT. @Julius_S_Malema – SIGNAL (MAMA)

Posted By Brasmoove

Julius Malema’s speech at the funeral of Mama Winnie Madikizela-Mandela was part of the inspiration for the latest single from Jovislash.

While we spent the past week or so asking for a Signal from Mama, he was trying to find his own signal from his late grandmother. He calls this a tribute to those who survived or lost the battle with cancer. He also speaks for the ones mourning their late mothers and grandmothers.

Jovislash had this to say about Signal (Mama):

I was touched by Julius Malema’s Speech at Mama Winnie Mandela’s funeral. It reminded me of my late grandmother, I also had so many questions I wanted to ask her and I needed a signal.

ShabZi Madallion referred to his latest offering Green Pastures as a throw-away track.

I would like to respectfully disagree, this is heat. This is a left curve from Shabzi’s usual singles. It’s got that upbeat feel to it. I can imagine this song being used as a soundtrack for mingles.

IAMNOBODI really did the business on the go-go music influenced background.

We got released this as a gift from Shabzi for having 10 000 followers on Twitter & for getting a spot on this year’s Back To The City festival.

After taking a break from the rap game to focus on ministry and “activational” speaking gigs, Mr Selwyn has returned. He has ended his rap sabbatical to take it Back 2 Kasi.

As soon as you hear the vluits in the background, you already know what time it is.

DJ Phatpro cooked up the soundbed that Mr Selwyn slapped like it stole something.

You can listen to Back 2 Kasi on Youtube low or download at the Thumaka Music website

The whole SA hip hop nation took off when Proverb hinted earlier this week that he had new music on the way.

Now, wait no more as the OG released a tribute track where he imagines what Heaven looks like.

It is a decent concept of remembering our fallen heroes, whether in the entertainment, sports, social & political spaces. You might want to put your lighters up for this one.

NEW MUSIC: @DJSwitchSA FEAT @Rouge_Rapper, @Blaklez & @YoungstaCPT – READY OR NOT

Posted By Brasmoove

While we were sleeping, DJ Switch poured into a bowl some of the finest MCs from Pretoria & Cape Town and mixed ’em all up with a hard hitting beat. Pop it out of the oven & the result is Ready Or Not.

This head-nodder of a song features 3 emcees who I believe have never dropped a whack verse: Rouge, Blaklez & YoungstaCPT.

Best believe, I will be taking this song for a Whip Test™ to see what that bass do.

Blu and Psy are artists working on their debut collaboration mixtape titled The Good,The Bad and The Vibey.

Residing in the Vaal these artists have been working together
since 2011 and have released several projects between the two of them, although this
upcoming project will be the first for them to collaborate on. Doing Good serves as the
first official single from the 12 song project and sets the tone for a very chilled project
which explores different sounds as heard on the current single. Produced by Blu, who
has produced for Ginger Trill and Nveigh in the past the song features Gospel inspired
chords that instantly put any listener in a good mood as the song is a feel good song.…
