New Music: Obasi Jackson Drops a Heartfelt Tribute on “I Miss My Brother”

The Brooklyn, New York based artist drops a tribute to his late brother, Pop Smoke

Obasi Jackson is a Brooklyn, New York based artist who has been finding artistic ways to deal with grief.

One of those ways is to let it all out in the studio. The first time, it was with “Work”. This time around, Obasi dropped a new single called “I Miss My Brother”

This somber piano laced number has Obasi reminiscing on his late younger brother, Pop Smoke (Bashar Jackson) who left the physical plane in February 2020.

In a soon-to-be-released interview with Thinksllow, Obasi said that when he was chilling at home, he would often hear Pop Smoke‘s voice whenever he would be going in and out. Now that he has passed, his voice does not boom across the house anymore and that made Obasi miss his brother more.

This number will probably tug at the heartstrings, even if it is for a young 2 minutes.
