This coming Sunday 8th of September “Where is The Beef Media” presents the 3rd annual Beat Makers Market. This is a unique event that showcases itself not just by providing the audience with a repertoire of music performers and deejays. On the “ones and twos” you get “DeeBoi, P-Kuttah, Osmic, C-Live, Beat Mochini, Selz, Solid the gifted, Misfit, Mystikal, ALDA3rd. This year you can come witness the talents of “Spikiri, Zwai Bala, Riky Rick, PH Raw, Tweezy, J Star and Speeka” hosted by YFM‘s very own Dj Sabby. 

The Beat Makers Market also offers the audience a world of education with regards to beats as an art form, as Zwai Bala will host a “master class” taking us through the motions on how the beats behind one of SA’s greatest album of all time TKZEE‘s “Halloween”. I’m definitely looking forward to that one!

The proceedings do not end there!!

There will be a “Power Beats” discussion from the past, present and the future with Spikiri and Tweezy hosted by Dj Sabby. 

A film score beat making discussion segment with greats like Tshepang Ramoba, Nick Labuschagne, Zethu Mashika and Mpumi Phillips in association with Capasso.

“Beat Maker of the Year Battle” (winner takes all) where beat makers go “head-to-head” for the grand prizes comprising of M-Audio Studio Equipment, Akai Professional MPK Mini, Numark Mixtrack Platinum and Head Phones, Icons Focusrite Scarlett 2I2 Sound Card and a R5000 Cash Prize.  The judging panel consists of “O.G’s” Rashid Kay, BattleKat and Nyambz. 

“Talk the Talk” with Cameroonian artist/producer Salatiel who features on The Lion King “The Gift” movie alongside greats like Beyonce and Pharell on a song called “water”. Don’t want to miss that.

Backstage lectures with Towdee Mac, a Dj scratch demonstration by The Cutt, master class with BattleKat, Beat-Box battles and one of the spectacles we are most looking forward to…. The “Silent Disco” with the lineup boasting an array of exceptional deejays.
